Forest are vital, so we can breathe. They are livelihood and habitat of many species, and they store CO2 as well. Yet they are critically endangered by deforestation, climate stress and economic exploitation. So we must help the trees to help us. At the Green Forest Fund, we don’t only plant the trees, but we also protect them permanently – with your support!
4 trees can neutralize your annual carbon footprint
It is easy to do the maths: One tree can absorb an average of 3 tons of CO2 over a period of 100 years. This is roughly equivalent to the amount that each one of us produces in three months. Therefore, four trees each year compensate our average annual carbon footprint. This makes trees one of the easiest and most effective measures against climate change, provided they are allowed to grow and reach their natural age.
